What’s the work of a local lead?

 

The work of a local leads is dynamic and changing, however the big deliverables are:

  • Creating a team environment where people are:
  • Empowered to contribute their own leadership to the local.
  • Taking care of their own and each other’s safety and wellbeing.
  • Multi-skilling and developing competence to work with the whole community of local customers.
  • Confident to show up with customers and in the community, role modelling the Chorus values and behaviours.
  • Create an operating environment where:
  • The customer and product mix are managed to deliver a modest surplus.
  • The financial processes are being effectively managed to optimise revenue and manage costs.
  • High quality data management practices are embedded.
  • New systems and processes that optimise local performance and productivity are being embedded.
  • Contribute to a collaborative leadership culture:
  • Participate in shared policy development and decision making through one of Chorus commitment forums, as well as R’PER.

What’s skills and attributes will I need?

  • You will be developing your capacity to role model Chorus’s five signature behaviours at team leadership level on the Chorus contribution diamonds. 

In addition, a successful Local Lead will need to bring:  

  • A broad understanding of the in-home and community-based care sector, operational needs and opportunities, and broader emerging changes and challenges.
  • Business acumen to understand local financial performance, the levers that impact productivity and how to control costs.
  • Analysis skills to identify gaps in actual and target performance across all four Chorus commitments.
  • A basic level of digital fluency to support Chorus ambition to become a digitally enabled provider and a wiliness to keep learning.

 What are the terms and conditions?

 

Local leads are classified as SCSE 4.1 which is $41.52 per hour.
