Chorus was formed in 2017 by the merge of three established WA care providers, Care Options, Community First International and Volunteer Task Force. We are an Australian not-for-profit organisation providing services in Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health and Volunteering. About The Role:


We are currently seeking applications for a part-time Community Visitors Scheme Coordinator to join our team based in Kwinana. The position is a fixed term part-time contract for 12 months, working 18 hours a week. The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) aims to mobilise volunteers to provide friendship and companionship for Australian Government subsidised aged care recipients who are at risk of isolation or loneliness. The role of the CVS Coordinator is to effectively and efficiently coordinate and develop the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) and the volunteers engaged in the delivery of the program. This includes volunteer recruitment, selection, matching, orientation, training, mentoring and supervision.


Essential Criteria:  

  • Current National Police clearance with 6 months or less currency;
  • Current Australian drivers licence with no restrictions;
  • Reliable motor vehicle (including valid registration and full comprehensive insurance);
  • Experience working with and coordinating volunteers;
  • Previous experience  and practical understanding of the Aged Care, Disability or Community Care environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people with differing needs;
  • Digital literacy and experience in the use of SMS software;
  • Ability to provide leadership, supervision and support to volunteers;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated ability in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising work to meet competing demands;
  • Good organisational and administrative skills;
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
